Overview

Creatine is the one training supplement I would keep if I had to give up every other one. It is a single molecule, it has been sold for thirty years, and the amount that does the work is small enough to disappear in a glass of water.

People who eat plants start with lower creatine stores, because the usual food sources are meat and fish. That is not a problem to be fixed; it is a gap you can choose to fill with a scoop. This tub is Creapure creatine monohydrate and nothing else: no flavor, no sweetener, no proprietary blend, no second ingredient to read about.

The dose is printed large on the front because the dose is the product. Three grams a day is where the authorized wording starts; a level five gram scoop is what most people use.

Ingredients

Planned formulation, in descending order of weight. The final list follows the manufacturer's specification.

Serving and suggested use

Serving: 5 g (one level scoop), 100 per pack.

One level scoop (5 g) once a day, stirred into water, juice or a shake, with or without food. The same time each day is easier to remember than a loading phase, and no loading phase is needed.

Who it is for, and precautions

General information about a planned product, not advice for you. A pharmacist or doctor knows your medicines; we do not.

Adults who train. The authorized wording applies to high intensity exercise in successive short bursts.

  • Drink normally through the day; creatine draws water into muscle.
  • If you have a kidney complaint or take medicines for one, ask a pharmacist or doctor first.
  • Not intended for people under 18, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Questions

Do I need a loading phase?

No. A steady daily scoop reaches the same place within a few weeks; loading only gets there faster and is harder on the stomach.

Does it taste of anything?

Almost nothing. It is slightly gritty in plain water and disappears in juice or a shake.

Why Creapure?

It is a named, traceable creatine monohydrate made in Germany, which gives us one supplier document for the one ingredient in the tub.
